Phone Basics

Making Calls

Placing a call from your wireless phone is as easy as making a
call from any landline phone. Activate the phone side of the

UpStage

TM

, enter the number on the keypad and press

.

To make a call using your keypad:

1.

Make sure your phone is on and the Phone Display
screen is active.

2.

Enter a phone number from within standby mode.

(If you make a mistake while dialing, press

to erase

one digit at a time. Press and hold

to erase the

entire number.)

3.

Press

. (To make a call when you are roaming and

Call Guard is enabled, press

and then

.

4.

Press

when you are finished with your call.

You can also place calls from your phone by using the
Contacts menu (page 135), Sprint Voice Command
(page 283), speed dialing numbers from your Contacts
(page 64), using Voice Activated Dialing (page 166), and using
your Call History listings (page 128).

Note:

Although a phone number can be selected from the Main
LCD (for example, from the Missed Alerts screen), once the
call is initiated, the phone will deactivate the Main LCD and
“flip” over to the smaller Phone Display screen.

Tip:

To redial your previous call, press

TALK

twice.
