Zooming In and Out
✤ Zooming is a recording technique that lets you change the size of
the subject in a scene.
For more professional looking recordings, do not use the zoom
function too often.
✤ You can zoom using variable zoom speeds.
✤ Use these features for different shots. Please note that
over-use of the zoom feature can lead to unprofessional looking
results and a reduction of battery usage time.
1. Move the zoom lever slightly for a gradual zoom,
move it further for a high-speed zoom.
Your zooming is monitored on the OSD.
2. T(Telephoto) side:
Subject appears closer.
3. W(Wide angle) side: Subject
appears farther away.
■ You can record a subject that is
about 10mm (about 0.5 inch)
away from the lens surface in
the WIDE position.
Tele MACRO
✤ Tele Macro Function works in both CAMERA and
M.REC mode.
✤ Effective focal distance in TELE MACRO mode is
50 cm (19.7 inches) ~ 100 cm (39.4 inches).
1. Press the MACRO button.
MACRO Icon ( ) will be displayed.
2. If you want to cancel the Tele Macro function, press the
MACRO button again.
Notes
■ When recording in TELE MACRO Mode, the FOCUS
speed may be slow.
■ When you operate the ZOOM function in the
TELE MACRO mode, then the recording subject
may be out of focus.
■ Use a tripod to prevent hand shake in the
TELE MACRO mode.
■ Avoid shadows when recording in the TELE MACRO
mode.
■ As the distance to the subject decreases, focusing area
narrows.
■ When you can not get proper focus, use the Zoom Lever.

Acercamiento y alejamiento de las imágenes
✤ El uso del zoom es una técnica de grabación que permite modificar el
tamaño del encuadre en las escenas.Para obtener imágenes más
profesionales, no emplee el zoom con mucha frecuencia.
✤ El zoom se puede emplear con velocidades variables.
✤ Utilice el zoom para obtener imágenes variadas. Si abusa del zoom el
resultado serán imágenes poco profesionales. Además, el tiempo de
uso de la batería se reduce.
1. Mueva el botón del zoom lentamente para obtener un
efecto de zoom gradual.
Muévalo más rápido si desea un efecto rápido.
El efecto del zoom se puede seguir por la pantalla
OSD.
2. Lado T ( teleobjetivo): el objeto se ve
más cerca.
3. Lado W (gran angular): el objeto se
ve más lejos.
■ En la posición de gran angular
se puede enfocar un objeto que
esté a unos 10 mm (unas 0,5
pulgadas).
TELE MACRO
✤ La función Tele Macro opera en las modalidades
CAMERA y M.REC.
✤ La distancia focal más adecuada en la modalidad
TELE MACRO es de 50 cm (19,7 pulgadas)
~ 100 cm (39,4 pulgadas).
1. Pulse el botón MACRO.
Aparecerá el icono MACRO ( ).
2. Si desea cancelar la función Tele Macro, pulse de nuevo
el botón MACRO.
Notas
■ Al grabar en la modalidad TELE MACRO, la velocidad
focal puede ser inferior.
■ Cuando utilice la función ZOOM en el modo
TELE MACRO, quizá el sujeto de grabación esté
desenfocado.
■ Puede que el movimiento de la mano afecte a la
grabación en la modalidad TELE MACRO. Para evitarlo,
debe utilizarse un trípode.
■ Procure no producir sombras al grabar en la modalidad
TELE MACRO.
■ A medida que disminuya la distancia al objeto, el área de
enfoque se reducirá.
■ Cuando no sea posible obtener un enfoque adecuado,
utilice el botón del zoom.
