5 – Parameters

1 – Type Setup: This selection allows you to configure the characteristics
of the DMX output signal. Sets the “flavor” of the DMX signal: A, B, C, or
U. A through C are factory defaults, and U is a user programmable type
for “tweaking” the DMX output. This can be especially useful in
determining why a device that is considered to be DMX does not respond
to a particular console

2 – Sync Setup: Turns on the Scope Sync port, and sets up the portion of
the signal to sync to. (See Rx Sync Test for further information)
3 – Data Loss Test: Intentionally transmits poor DMX signal, manipulated
by the user. Inserts 100ms to 2 s of “dead time” into the signal at a
specified point. Tests DMX reception equipment for its reaction to poor
data.

Printing requires the optional Hewlett Packard 82240B Thermal Infrared printer.

From the Transmit DMX512 submenu, press 5 – Print DMX Data to enter the
print screen.

From this display, all of the print options are set. For example, to print the
decimal value of channels 1 to 400 press Ü to move the cursor (^) to below the
format setting (currently Hexval):
