Fault report function

If a fault occurs in the Agent machine, fault information can be reported to the

Management Console. There are two ways to send a report to the Management

Console:

1. Displaying an Alert Message on the Management Console

2. Sending an e-mail to a designated component (Management Console or other)

Five fault levels are specified: Information, Warning, Error, Success Audit, and Failure

Audit.

Events written to the event log on the Agent machine are reported to the Management

Proxy. These events reported by the Agent function can be filtered.

Information on faults at the Agent machine that were reported to the Management Proxy

can be filtered and forwarded to the Management Console or to an e-mail destination.

Front panel indicator function

It enables the user to type a specified character string via the Management Console to

change the information displayed on the front panel display of the Agent machine.

This function is supported on following machines: MAGNIA Z300/Z310

Performance display function

This is the function to display the performance of the Agent machine. If threshold values

are set, events will be written to the event log on the Agent machine when a value

exceeds the specified threshold.

Mobile IP Software function

This is the function to display information about the Mobile IP Software Server. (It is an

optional product.) Please refer to the User's Guide of the Mobile IP Software.

The versions of the Mobile IP Software Server that the HEW supports are Ver.2.0, 2.1 and

2.2.

This function is supported on following machines: MAGNIA Z300/Z310/Z500

Software Access Point function

This is the function to display information about Software Access Point.

Please refer to User's Guide of the Software Access Point.

The version of the Software Access Point that the HEW supports is Ver.2.0.
