Auto-shutdown function (ASD function)

This function enables an automatic shutdown of the server and turns off the power as if

pressing the power/sleep button.

This function is supported on following machines: MAGNIA Z300/Z310/Z500

Please refer to the User’s Guide of the server.

Collect Logs function

This is the function to collect files (log files and other files containing important information)

from the Agent machine. These files can include status files, error logs and so on. When

the specified files exist, they can be transmitted from the Agent to the Management

Console.

Enterprise Associated function

When some faults occur in the server, the fault reports can be forwarded to other SNMP

management programs, such as Compaq Insight Manager (XE), OpenView and Tivoli.

The contents of the fault report to transmit are about faults of temperature, FAN,

Voltage and so on.

Remote Console function

This is the function to operate the Agent machine from a Management Console. Mainly,

when a keyboard, a mouse and a monitor are not connected to the Agent machine, this

function uses.

HDD Connector Board Log function

This is the function to maintain the log recorded in a HDD Connector Board.

A HDD Connector Board is a board for connecting an IDE HDD. This function is

unnecessary, when an IDE HDD is not connected to the server, or when the server is

equipped with an IO device chassis.

This function is supported on the following machine: MAGNIA Z500

LAN Alerting function

Regardless of the OS running or not, this function forwards SNMP traps from an agent

machine to a specific destination.

In order to use this function, it is necessary to set up a destination for SNMP Traps and a

gateway used to reach the Trap destination on the LAN Alerting Configuration screen.

This function is supported on the following machine: MAGNIA3310
