Upper Test Space

Rod on which limit stops are fastened.

Limit Rod

Sets the upper limit of travel. The interlock is set when
this limit is reached.

Upper Limit Stop

Moves with the crosshead and sets an interlock when
it comes into contact with a limit stop.

Limit Switch Actuator

Lights when interlocks are cleared and the load frame
is ready for use.

System Enabled Light

Warning

:

The System Enabled light indicates that
crosshead movement can occur due to
control inputs or a test run in progress.

Unexpected crosshead movement can
cause equipment damage or injury.

Keep body parts out of the crush zone
and use caution whenever the System
Enabled light is lit.

Stops crosshead motion and sets an interlock when
pressed. Twist to reset.

Emergency Stop

When enabled, allows you to control crosshead
motion.

Handset

Turns the controller and load frame on and off.

Power Switch

The power cord plugs into this connector.

Power Input Connector

Electronics that serve as the interface between the
MTS TestSuite software and the load unit.

Controller
