b) Insert the specimen.
Ensure that the specimen is properly aligned to avoid introducing any side loading. Also ensure that
the specimen has contact across the entire face of the grip.
c) Clamp the specimen by releasing the lever. Ensure that there is a slight gap (A) between the end
of the specimen and the grip.
