Installation

Floor Mounting

The ProDySC is to be secured to the floor using 3/8” hardware and fittings
appropriate for the type of floor. Holes are provided in the base channels; see

Figure 1

for mounting dimensions.

Note: Top or bottom cable entry is allowed. See

Bypass Switch

Installation of the ProDySC with an external maintenance bypass switch is
required for service and/or maintenance. Mount the bypass switch adjacent to
the ProDySC if possible.

The recommended Bulletin 1608P bypass switch has three modes of operation
and is configured as shown in

Figure 2

.

NORMAL Mode -

Power flows from the utility source

through the ProDySC to the load.

TEST Mode -

Power flows directly from the utility to

the load. ProDySC outputs are not connected to the
load. ProDySC inputs have power provided for testing
by a qualified technician.

BYPASS Mode -

Power flows directly from the utility

to the load. No power is present on ProDySC inputs or outputs.
