6. Dry the tube with a lint-free cloth. Put

on a dry positioning ring. Cap the
tube. Wipe the tube thoroughly
again with a lint-free cloth.

7. Open the meter lid. Insert the tube

into the chamber. Align the index
notch on the positioning ring with
the index arrow on the meter. Close
the lid.

8. Press

*IOK to select Scan Blank.

Remove the tube.

9. Rinse a clean tube (0290), or the

same tube, three times with the
water to be tested. Avoid spilling
water on the outside of the tube.
IMPORTANT: While the tube is
inverted, wipe the lip of the tube to
remove droplets of liquid that may
be present. This will prevent liquid
from being trapped under the ring
when the tube is returned to an
upright position.

10. Fill the tube to the fill line with the

sample. Pour the sample down the
inside of the tube to avoid creating
bubbles.
