Notes on FORMAT

Format (initialize) the built-in flash memory when the warning indicator ^ flashes
fast.

To format (initialize) the built-in flash memory, carry out the following operation.

(1)

Set the POWER switch to CAMERA or VTR. When you set the POWER switch

to CAMERA, turn STANDBY to MEMORY.

(2)

Press MENU to display the MENU settings.

(3)

Turn the SEL/PUSH EXEC dial to select , then press the dial.

(4)

Turn the SEL/PUSH EXEC dial to select FORMAT, then press the dial.

(5)

Turn the SEL/PUSH EXEC dial to select OK, then press the dial.

To cancel formatting, select RETURN, then press the dial.

•Formatting erases all information in the built-in flash memory, including the protected

image data. Check the contents of the flash memory before formatting.

Be sure that the battery pack is fully charged when formatting the built-in flash

memory.
Formatting takes about three seconds.

•Do not turn the POWER switch or press any button while the display shows

"FORMATTING".
