Before you start...

• Turn on your IV and set it to the

video channel-

To extend the duration

Press # REC repeatedly to set a new duration.

To cancel the duration

Press # REC repeatedly until 0 indicator disappears and the VCR returns to
normal recording mode.

To stop while recording

Press ■ STOP.

Press I/O to turn on the VCR-

Press MENU, then press f/4 to highlight TIMER SET/CHHCK and
press OK.

• If you want to change a setting, go on to the next step.

• If you do not need to change the .settings, press MENU, then turn off

the VCK to reluni to recording standby.

• To change the setting, press OK and press

^ to highlight the item you want to
change, then press "t/^ to reset it.

• To cancel the setting, press CLEAR.

Press MENU to exit the menu.

If any timer settings remain, turn off the VCR to return to recording
standby.

When the timer settings overlap

The program that starts first has priority and the second program starts

recording only after the first program has finished. If the programs start at
tlic same time, the program listed first in the menu has priority.

Recording stereo and bilingual
programs

Recording stereo programs

This VCR automatically receives and records stereo programs. When c
stereo program is received, the STEREO indicator lights up. If thci a is noise
in the stereo program, set AUTO STEREO in the ADVANCED OFFIONS
menu to OFP. The sound will be recorded in monaural (on botii hi-fi and
normal audio tracks) but with less noise. For details, see page 100.

Recording bilingual programs

Normally, this VCR records only the main sound. When a SAP (S’cond
Audio Program) is received, the SAP indicator lights up

Selecting the sound during playback

Press AUDIO MONITOR to select the sound you want. (The sound being
recorded will not change.)
