3 Installation
1. Select a location for the APD-100 that is level and stable. We recommend that
the APD-100 be located away from vibration and air currents. The APD-100 is
sensitive enough to have readings affected by these conditions.
2. Remove the APD-100 from the packaging.
3. Slide the long bottom cover to the side a little, and lift it away. Take out the
powder reservoir tube and replace the long bottom cover. See Figure
3.1

4. Remove the powder reservoir cover and install the powder reservoir tube by
pressing it into the powder reservoir base as shown in Figure
3.2 . Place the
cover on the top of the tube.

5. To fill the reservoir tube, remove the cover, put powder into reservoir and
replace the cover.
6. Open the draft shield over the scale platform and remove the cap on the feed
tube.
7. If not already there, place the scoop onto the weighing pan and replace the
shield.
8. Plug the power adaptor into the APD-100 and then into a properly grounded
wall outlet.
