6 Servicing the APD-100

6.1 Cleaning

The APD-100 must be cleaned after use or when changing the type of powder. It is
strongly recommended that powder NOT be left in the powder dispenser when finished
loading or when putting it away as you may forget what kind of powder was used. This
is extremely dangerous.

Refer to the photos as you go through the steps of the cleaning procedure listed below.

1.

To clean the APD-100, place the rubber cap onto the end of powder feet tube
and lower the powder cleaning chute on the rear panel behind the powder
reservoir. Be certain that you have a container under the chute to catch all
powder from the reservoir and powder compartment. Lift the powder shut-off
door to allow the powder to flow out.

The cleaning brush can be used to remove any remaining powder. When
empty, press the lock button, see Figure

6.2

, to release the powder reservoir

base and lift out the powder reservoir base.

CAUTION: Do not turn unit upside down and shake, as this could harm the
loadcell!
