APD-100 Automatic Powder Dispenser User Instructions

Operating the APD-100

Powder Type:

TYPE

Weight of Powder:

W xxxxx

A load will not be stored in memory until you complete all four input lines and press the
ENTER key after the weight is input. To correct input mistakes, press the BACKSPACE
key to delete the last digit or press the CANCEL key to erase the entire line.

Follow the steps in the next section to input new formulas into memory.

4.4.1 Load Memory Input Instructions

1.

Press the NEW key…

MEM.xxx is displayed. This indicates the xxx memory position (first
blank position).

Press the ENTER key…

CART is briefly displayed, then C=_.

3.

Enter the name (up to four characters) of the cartridge using the phone type
keypad. Press the same key repeatedly to change the letters or numbers
represented by that key. When the proper number or letter is present, wait
several seconds and the display will shift to the next space. When the name is
displayed, press ENTER key. Use the CANCEL or BACKSPACE key can to
edit the input line.

POWD is briefly displayed, then P=_ .

Enter the name of the powder and press the ENTER key.

TYPE is displayed, then one of the powder type names will flash on the
display. (BALL, FLAKE, EXTRUD, CUST1, CUST2, or CUST3).

Press FAST/^ or TRICKEL/v to scroll through the choices. Press ENTER to
select the displayed choice.

WGHT is briefly displayed, then W 0 and a unit of measure (g, gn or
oz).

6.

Press the UNIT key to change to scroll through the unit of measure choices;
grams, grains or ounces.

7.

Key in the charge weight and press the ENTER key.

The load is saved. MEM. yyy is displayed, indicating the next blank
memory position.

Enter another load into memory by repeating steps

or press the

EXIT key to exit the memory mode.

The configuration settings for each of the powder types will be automatically loaded
when the powder type is chosen. Configuring each is covered in Setting Parameters

on page 24
