APD-100 Automatic Powder Dispenser User Instructions

Configuration

Since each powder type has the same parameter set, these instructions will explain the
meaning of each parameter once instead of six times for the six different powder types.
You can access any powder type and set the parameters the way you need.

Press the FAST/^ or TRICKEL/v key to scroll through the powder types:
BALL, FLAKE, EXTRUD, CUST1, CUST2 or CUST3. Press the ENTER key to
accept your displayed choice…

MAX. XX is displayed. This parameter sets the high range speed of the
dispensing motor. XX is the value of the setting. Settings can be
between 8 and 16. The default setting is 16, which is the fastest motor
speed.

Type in a value between 8 and 16 and press the ENTER key to accept the
value displayed…

MIN. X is displayed. This parameter sets the low speed of the
dispensing motor. X is the value of the setting. Settings can be between
3 and 8. The default setting is 4. Smaller numbers mean slower motor
speeds.

Type in a value between 3 and 8 and press the ENTER key to accept the value
displayed…

PUL. XX is displayed. This parameter sets the length of each pulse of
the dispensing motor for delivering very small quantities of powder. XX is
the value of the setting. Settings can be between 4 and 20. The default
setting is 10. Smaller numbers mean shorter pulses.

Type in a value between 4 and 20 and press the ENTER key to accept the
value displayed…

CHG. XX is displayed. Use this parameter to set the percent of the
weight for this powder charge which will be dispensed at the high motor
speed. XX is the value of the setting. Settings are in percentages of the
total powder weight wanted for the charge so values can be between 1
and 100. The default setting is 80.

This means the motor will run at high speed as 0 to 80% of the weight is
dispensed.

Type in a value between 1 and 100 and press the ENTER key to accept the
value displayed…

SWI. XX is displayed. Use this parameter to set the percent of the
weight at which the motor begins to dispense in low speed. XX is the
value of the setting. Settings are in percentages of the total powder
weight wanted for the charge so values can be between 1 and 100. The
default setting is 90.

This means the motor will run at low speed from the 90% weight level to
the next parameter’s (BEF) value.
