4.1 Calibration

4 Operating the APD-100

This section includes instructions for the various steps to calibrate, setup and use the
APD-100.

4.1 Calibration

Follow these steps to calibrate your APD-100.

1.

After warm-up the unit will be in weighing and dispense mode. We recommend
you calibrate the scale before use. Remove the powder scoop from the
weighing platform before calibrating the scale.

2.

Press and hold the CAL key down until…

CAL. 0 is shown. This means the scale is ready for setting the zero
calibration point.

3.

Press ENTER to continue…

The A to D counts are displayed.

4.

Remove all weight from the weighing pan and press ENTER to perform the
zero point calibration…

CAL 30 g is shown after zero calibration is complete. 30 g is the default
calibration weight.

5.

Press the FAST/^ or TRICKEL/v key to scroll through the list of calibration
weight choices; 30g, 50g or 100g.

6.

When your choice is displayed, press ENTER to select it…

The A to D counts are displayed.

7.

Place the 30g, 50g or 100g test weight onto the platform and press the ENTER
key…

When reading of 30g, 50g or 100g is shown, remove the weight.

8.

The display will show approximately 0. Press ZERO/EXIT to rezero the scale
and exit the calibration mode.

During the steps above, you can exit the calibration procedure at any time by pressing
the ZERO/EXIT key.
