CARE AND CLEANING
CLEANING / UNBLOCKING THE FILTERS, PORTAFILTER AND GROUP HEAD
Periodically run water through the machine with the portafi lter in place, but without any ground coff ee, to rinse out any residual coff ee particles.
Should the fi ne holes in the fi lters become
blocked follow the following steps:

Place the fi lter into the portafi lter. Run water
through the machine with the fi lter and por-
tafi lter, without any ground coff ee, in place.
2 The fi ne pin on the cleaning tool can be
used to clear the fi lter basket holes.
3 To clean the single wall fi lters simply run wa-
ter through the portafi lter using the manual
pour function by holding down the one cup
button.
4 For a thorough clean of the fi lters, run a
cleaning cycle of the machine with the por-
tafi lter and fi lter in place.
CLEANING THE OUTER HOUSING / CUP
WARMING PLATE
The outer housing and cup warming plate can be
cleaned with a soft, damp cloth. Then polish with a
soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, pads
or cloths which can scratch the surface.
