Freshly ground coffee is one of the four most important factors in the prepa-
ration of coffee.
This attribute is often referred to as one of the ‘four hands’ in espresso prepa-
ration. The others are the grinder, the espresso machine and the barista.

While the degree and the selection of roast is a personal preference, cor-
rectly roasted and rested coffee beans produce espresso with much more
taste, flavour and body than coffee that is pre-ground.
Pre-ground coffee deteriorates rapidly and over time produces thin flat cof-
fee that has a light and small amount of crema.

With this in mind the Catler Espresso Machine ES 8012 was developed
with an integrated, dosing grinder. By using only the required amount
of coffee, instantly after being ground, the Espresso Machine ES 8012
ensures all grounds are fresh, for a richer, full espresso.
