Printing Problems

If you are having problems printing with the FAX-L250, check the problems and solutions listed in the

following table.

Problem

Possible cause

Solution

The ALARM lamp comes on

and the FAX-L250 beeps while

printing?

The FAX-L250 may have a

paper jam.

Clear any paper jams as

described earlier in this.

chapter.

If the FAX-L250 has no paper

jam, unplug it, wait five seconds,

then plug it in again. If the

problem is fixed, the ALARM

lamp will be off, and the LCD

display will show the time and

receiving mode (standby mode).

If the ALARM lamp stays on, call

your local authorised Canon

dealer or service centre.

Nothing prints?

The power cord may not be

plugged in securely.

Make sure the power cord is

plugged securely into the unit and

into a wall outlet.

The toner cartridge may need

to be replaced.

Replace the toner cartridge. See

page 2-27.

Printout does not match paper

size?

Paper may not be loaded and

aligned correctly in the sheet

feeder.

Make sure the paper is loaded

correctly. See page 2-33.

The printout curls?

Your pages may include a large

amount of toner.

Remove the printout as soon as it

exits the FAX-L250 and let it dry,

then roll it in the direction

opposite of the curl.
