Preparations;
® Press [6/f] to turn the unit on.
@ The leader must be wound on beforehand. page 36)
® Insert a tape into each deck,
DECK 1: For playback
DECK 2: For recording
Press [REV MODE] to select the reverse mode.

One side will record, then recording will stop auto
matically.
cZy- Both sides wiii record (forward side-»reverse side),
then recording will stop automatically.
Q Set the tape direction
“>
” of deck 1 and 2.
Press [DECK1/2] and confirm both deck’s tape directions are
“E>".
To change the tape direction, first press [>], and then [■].
To record on the reverse side, set deck 2 to
Q Press [TAPE EDIT].
Recording will begin.
If you select XZy” in step Q, when you press [TAPE EDIT],
Xzy automatically switches over to '"Z'f.
The tape direction indicator
{“<3"
or ">”) shows deck 2 direction.
If either deck 1 or deck 2 stops, the other deck also stops.
To stop recording
Press [■].
Both decks will stop.
To display the tape counter while recording
Press [COUNTER DISPLAY].
The tape counter will be displayed for approximately 5 seconds.
To enjoy another source while recording
Start playing the other sound source.
You can change the volume, sound quality and surround effect with
out affecting the recording.
The recording level and the noise reduction effect of the original
(playback) tape will be recorded on the new tape.
