Humming is heard while
playing.

AC mains lead or fluorescent lamp is located
in ttie vicinity of cables.

Keep electric appliances away from ttie
system.

Try plugging the AC mains lead in the other
way.

There is no sound when a
source is being played.

The (+) and (-) wire of the speaker cords

are shorted.

Switch the system to the standby mode, and
reconnect the speaker cords so that they are
not shorted. Then switch on the power.

“DTS NO AUDIO” appears
on the display.

The disc is encoded with DTS.

This system cannot play DTS discs.

Replace the disc.

“U70” appears on the
display.

Fiat cables are not connected steadily.

Connect the flat cable steadily.
When the “U70" display is not cleared after
connecting the unit is damaged. Consult your

dealer.

Operate the unit correctly by following the
operating instructions.

Trouble is likely to have occurred. The

number following “H" depends on the status
of the DVDA/ideo CD/CD changer.

Turn the system off and then back to on. Alternatively, turn
off the system, disconnect the AC mains lead, and then

re-connect it.
If the display isn’t cleared, consult your dealer about getting

the unit repaired. Tell the dealer the number that was on
the display.

While listening to FM broadcasts

There is a “rushing noise”
during a stereo broadcast
which is not audibie
during a monaural

broadcast.

The transmitting station is a long distance
away.

If you are using an indoor antenna change to

an outdoor antenna.

You hear excessive noise
during a stereo broadcast,
and occasionally the
sound disappears.

The installation location and orientation of the

antenna are unsuitable.
