When the PSR-18 POWER switch is initially turned on, the REVERB effect is automatical­
ly selected. You can select either the REVERB or ECHO effect by pressing the appropriate
button. The EFFECT VOLUME control adjusts the “depth” or “strength” of the effect.
Move the EFFECT VOLUME control towards the “MAX” setting for a deeper effect. The
effect can be turned off by sliding the EFFECT VOLUME control all the way to the “OFF”
position.

Playing a Rhythm Pattern
The PSR-18 has 22 different rhythm patterns that can be selected and played by pressing

the appropriate white key on the keyboard while holding the CD button.

To play the SWING rhythm, for example, hold the

button and press the white
key on the keyboard labelled “SWING” above the keyboard. The SWING rhythm will begin
playing immediately.
STOP
The rhythm pattern can be stopped at any time by pressing the

button.
* A different rhythm pattern can be selected in the same way even while a rhythm pattern
is playing. In this case the new rhythm pattern begins playing from the beginning of the
next measure.
Adjusting the Tempo {speed) of the Rhythm Pattern B
The tempo of the selected rhythm pattern can be adjusted in 16 steps.

A tempo of 120 beats per minute is automatically selected when the POWER/MODE switch
is initially turned ON.

nen durch Drücken der entsprechenden Taste zwischen ECHO und REVERB wählen.
Der EFFECT VOLUME-Regler bestimmt den Wirkungsgrad des Effekts, Wenn Sie einen
stärkeren Effekt wollen, müssen Sie den EFFECT VOLUME-Regler in Richtung MAX schie­
ben. Zum Ausschalten des Effektklangs wird der EFFECT VOLUME-Regler ganz ein­
fach auf OFF gestellt.

Um zum Beispiel den SWING-Rhythmus zu spielen, halten Sie die

Der Rhythmus kann jederzeit durch Drücken der □ -Taste wieder abgeschaltet

* Während ein Rhythmus spielt, können Sie jederzeit einen anderen wählen. Der neue
Rhythmus setzt dann zu Beginn des nächsten Taktes ein.

Das Tempo eines gewählten Rhythmus kann in 16 Stufen eingestellt werden.
40, 50, 60, 73, 80, 92, 100, 112, 120, 132, 146, 159, 184, 200, 225, 240 {Taktschläge pro Minute)
Beim Einschaiten wird automatisch das Tempo 120 vorgewählt. Mittels der Tasten TEM-

(langsamer) können Sie die Geschwindigkeit
dann einstellen. Mit jedem Tastendruck verändert sich das Tempo um eine Stufe. Gleich­
zeitiges Betätigen beider Tasten bewirkt Rückstellung auf das Normaltempo {120).
