Recording from a CD (with automatic recording-level set)

You can automatically set the best recording level for

recording from a CD using the system's Computer-

Controlled Recording System (CCRS).

1 Using the CD player's DISC SELECTOR buttons,

selecta CD.

2 Insert a blank tape in tape well B.

3 Select the Dolby Noise Reduction mode.

4 Press the CCRS button. The CCRS.light flashes. .

Several different parts of the CD. are sampled, the

CD's peak level is determined, and the best recording

level for that CD is automatically set .

The CD“ and tape are automaticaify cued up at their

beginnings, an 8-secohd blank spaceJs recorded at

the beginning of the tape, and the CD is automatically

recorded. .

5 When the system is done recording, press the CD

player's OPEN/CLOSE button. Y _

To cancel automatic recording

Press the CD playePs STOP button, if the system has

started recording, after you press the STOP button,

press the OPEN/CLOSE button."
