Using a timer to record from
the tuner

You can set the cassette deck to recond^frojri the tuner^

at a preset time (to record a specific radio shoviC for

example).

1 Connect the power cords of the Spectrum systern to

the audio timer so that the timer turns th^ system ,

ON. Follow the instructions included with the timer. ;

Turn the, system ON. ,

3 Tune in the. radio station.

4 Ins.ert a blank tape in tape well B.

5 Set the recording mode. Dolby Noise Reduction, and

adjust the recording level. Make sure you're selected.

TUNER on the integrated amplifier.,

6 Set the timer.

7 Set the TIMER switch on the.cassette deck to RFC h

To ensure that the.cassette deck‘s automatic shgtpff ,

wori<s properly, set the timer tq operate fpr a little

longer than the length of the tape.

Recording from a record

(with automatic start and stop)

You can make tapes from your records if you have a

Kenwood.turntable conne.cted to your Spectrum' system ,

with a system control cable. The record and tape deck

will start and stop simultaneously.

1 Put a blank tape in tape well B.

2 Select the tape direction ^ or ►.

3 Immediately press the STOP. button.

4 Select the recording mode:

) records on both sides, of the tape.
