The functions supported by this driver are summarized below.

Function

Description

Initialize

Returns information as to whether the mouse can be used and sets the
mouse function to the initial conditions.
To start using the mouse this function must be called.

Input:

AX = 0

Output:

AX = Use of mouse permitted/not permitted

= 0 Use of mouse not permitted
= -1 Use of mouse permitted

BX = Number of mouse buttons

Note:
The position of the cursor is first set to the center of the screen if
this function is executed on a PC. However, it is positioned at the top left
corner of the screen (0,0) on this terminal.

Display Cursor
(Dummy Function)

Displays a cursor on the screen. This is a dummy function.

Input:

AX = 1

Output:

None

Erase Cursor
(Dummy Function)

Removes the cursor from the screen. This is a dummy function.

Input:

AX = 2

Output:

None

Read Cursor
Position

Reads the information about the current cursor position and whether the
mouse button is pressed.

Input:

AX = 3

Output:

BX = Button status

b0=1 The left button is pressed.
b1=1 The right button is pressed.

CX = X coordinate of the cursor position
DX = Y coordinate of the cursor position
