PRETEST THE LIFT BEFORE INSTALLING
IMPORTANT: Before mounting the lift in the ceiling, perform
the following test to be sure that it operates properly and has
not been damaged during shipping.
1. Attach supports (not supplied) to the top of the lift (see
Figure 1).
2. Suspend the lift at least 3 1/2 feet high from a suitable structure
[i.e. saw horses, ladders, or tables (see Figure 2)].
NOTE: The supplied momentary push button and power cord can
be used to pre-test the lift (see and “OUTSIDE TERMINAL
WIRING EXAMPLES” on page 13).
3. Cycle the lift through the “show” and “service” positions, mak-
ing sure the unit operates smoothly. Figure 1. Support the Unit
