Use the condenser for the intended use only, i. e. for condensation of vapours in vacuum
installations.
☞ Max. operating pressure: 1.1 bar absolute.

☞ Prior to every use: Check the condenser for faultless condition. The glass must be

free from damage, notches, cracks or scrapers. Do not use damaged components.

A great amount of gas can be absorbed on cold surfaces. The gases may expand
abruptly in case of warming. This may lead to inadmissible overpressure in the system.
Risk of bursting!
☞ Check coolant level in the condenser during operation at appropriate intervals.

☞ Adopt suitable measures to prevent the formation of explosive or flammable mix-

tures, use inert gas for venting if necessary.

☞ Adopt suitable measures to prevent the release of dangerous, explosive, corrosive

or polluting fluids when draining condensate.

Coolants: Dry ice or ethanol-dry ice mixture.
Do not overfill the condenser. Max. permitted coolant temperature: -80°C.
Attention:
The coolant may overflow unexpected, e. g. in case of volumes of gas!

Comply with all applicable safety measures and requirements when using chemi-
cals and deep-cold coolants.
☞ Use only transport receptacles intended for coolants.

☞ Use safety glasses and protective gloves.

☞ Do not clamp the covers of condensers or coolant receptacles. Ensure pressure

compensation between coolant and atmosphere.

Notes regarding the dry-ice condenser

The exhaust waste vapour condenser enables an efficient
condensation of the pumped vapours at the outlet.
☞ Next to 100% solvent recovery.

☞ The cover protects against glass splinters in the event of

breaking, acts as thermal isolation to avoid the condensa-
tion of humidity and is intended to absorb shocks.

☞ Ensure that the system design does not allow the exhaust

pipeline to be blocked (hose nozzle 10 mm), do not permit
uncontrolled pressurizing.

☞ Connect the exhaust to a suitable treatment plant to prevent

the discharge of dangerous gases and vapours to the sur-
rounding atmosphere.

cap

➨ Fill coolant into the coolant chamber. For that purpose re-

move cap.

☞ Check coolant level at appropriate intervals.

➨ Check level of condensate at appropriate intervals and if

necessary drain condensate.

☞ Wait until the condensate is in a liquid state if necessary.
