MAINTENANCE

CABINET CLEANING

Wipe the front panel and other exterior surfaces of

the VCR with a soft cloth immfersed in lukewarm

water and wrung dry.

Never use a solvent or aleohol. Do not spray insecticide

liquid near the VCR. Such chemicals may cause dam
age and discoloration to the exposed surfaces.

SERVICING

• Should your VCR become inoperative, do not try to

correct the problem by yourself. There are no user-

serviceable parts inside. Turn off, unplug the power
cord, and take the unit to Sears Authorized Service
Center for servicing.

HEAD CLEANING

• Picture playback may become blurred or interrupted

while the TV program reception is clear. This does
not mean that die recorded program has been erased.
Dirt accumulated on the video heads after long pe
riods of use, or the usage of rental or worn tapes can
cause this problem. If a steaky or snowy picture ap

pears during playback, the heads in your VCR may
need to be eleaned. Please visit your local
Audio/Video store and purchase a good quality VHS
Video Head Cleaner. Remember to read the instruc
tions included with the head cleaner before use.
Clean heads only when problems occur. If this does

not correct the problem, consult the nearest Sears
Authorized Service Center. Professional video head
eleaning requires highly technical attention.
