PLAYING BACK A TAPE

• The unit plays back the side facing the cassette holder.
• Use only Type I (normal) tapes.

1 Set the FUNCTION switch to TAPE/POWER

6STANDBY.

2 Insert a cassette.

® Press the ■/±STOP/EJECT button to open the cassette

holder.

®

Insert a cassette.

® The side to be played back

@ Press the cassette holder lightly to close it.

3 Press the ^PLAY button to start playback.

Basic operation
Press the following buttons.

To stop

■/£STOP/EJECT button

To fast forward

►►FF button

To rewind

◄◄REW button

To pause

PAUSE button

Press again to resume playback.

Continuous piayback
You can play back deck 1 and deck 2 continuously.

Deck 2 is played back first and deck 1 is played back next.

1 Insert the cassette to be played first into deck 2.

2 Insert the cassette to be played next into deck 1.
3 Set the FUNCTION switch to TAPE/POWER6STANDBY.
4 Press the ►PLAY button of deck 2. Playback starts in deck

2

PAUSE button and ►PLAY button of deck 1.

When the playback of deck 2 ends, the

PAUSE button of deck

1 is released and play starts on deck 1.

Cassette tapes

Tape slack □
Take up any slack in tape with a pencil or similar tool before use.

Slack tape may break or jam in the mechanism.

120-minute or longer tapes

These are extremely thin and easily deformed or damaged. They

are not recommended.

To prevent accidental erasure □

Break off the plastic tabs on the cassette tape after recording,

with a screwdriver or other pointed tool.
