Section 5 — L-S Series Panel Operation

Clearing Panel Modes

L32 and L64 panels can be placed into various modes for item and menu
selection. Buttons on the panel behave differently, depending on what
panel mode is currently active.

If a

Level

or

Preset

button is lit, pressing it will clear that panel operating

mode.

Pressing the

Clear

button exits the panel from some menu display and selec-

tion states.

In the completely cleared home state, sources can be switched to destina-
tions using the panel buttons.

Destination and Source Selection Methods

On L32 and L64 panels destinations and sources can be selected directly, by
pressing buttons on the panel, or by scrolling through menus.

Direct Selection

- This is the fastest method for selecting a source or destina-

tion, but is limited to the number of buttons configured on the panel.

Menu Selection

- This method requires more steps, but allows selection of

sources or destinations not currently assigned to buttons on the panel.

Note

If a source or destination cannot be selected, the panel may be restricted by
the CP Input or CP Output set used on the MPK Devices table. See

Section 4-Jupiter System Configuration

.

Selecting a Destination to be Controlled

The Destination window displays the name of the destination currently
being controlled in yellow.

Direct Selection Method

Buttons configured for destinations that are not currently being controlled
by the panel are illuminated in low yellow.

1.

Clear the panel (

Level

,

Menu

, and

Preset

buttons OFF).

2.

Press the desired yellow destination button. If the selection is valid, the
button will illuminate in high yellow. The name of the destination will
appear in the Destination window, and the name of the source currently
switched to that destination will appear in the Status window.

You will now be able to select a different source for that destination.
