7.2.1 Connecting grounding

The bidirectional battery inverter must be grounded to the earth system of the installation.

The cross-section of the copper wire must be at least the same cross-section of the connected outer conductor, and

at least 6 mm².

Please refer to local regulations for more information on the size of the ground cable.
Ground the device by connecting the protective earth conductor from a suitable location (e.g. main earthing bar) to

the ground terminal of the device. The bidirectional battery inverter is suitable for earthing systems.

NOTE

The wiring diagrams do not show the overcurrent protective devices!
Both the main battery cables and for battery measurement / precharging, an overcurrent protective

device is recommended that is able to act as an isolator switch to shut down the device in the event

of a fault or for maintenance purposes (available as additional accessories).

NOTE

The DC cables must be permanently connected and no plug-and-socket connections are permitted!

Disconnecting the cable during operation may cause arcing which can cause equipment damage

or injuries.

When disconnecting the cables, always first ensure that device is shut down, cables B+ and B- are

disconnected, followed by the sense/precharge cables. Connections are made in the reverse order.
