Solution

Uninstallation of the HP Color
LaserJet 1600 printer might cause other
devices that use Zenographic software to
stop working.

These devices share Zenographic files
with the HP Color LaserJet 1600 printer.

You might need to reinstall the software
for the other Zenographic devices after
you have uninstalled the HP Color
LaserJet 1600 printer.

The following devices are known to have
this conflict:

QMS MagiColor Laser 2200 (no
suffix)

QMS MagiColor Laser 6100 (no
suffix)

QMS PagePro 4100W

Minolta PageWorks 18L

HP LaserJet 1010, 1012, and 1015
series printers

Communication issues

Issue

Cause

Solution

The computer does not print or
communicate with the printer.

The printer might not have power.

Make sure that the printer is turned on
and connected to the computer.

The printer bidirectional capabilities
might not be engaged.

Open the HP Color LaserJet 1600
printer driver by clicking Start,
selecting Settings (in Microsoft
Windows XP or Microsoft Windows
Server 2003, click Printers and Faxes),
and then clicking Printers. Right-click
the HP Color LaserJet 1600 printer
icon, and then click Properties. Click the
Details tab, and then click Spool
Settings
. make sure that the check box
for Enable bidirectional support for
this printer
is selected.
