HP Color LaserJet 1600 printing-system software for
Microsoft Windows
The HP Color LaserJet 1600 printer includes the following software components and programs for
Microsoft Windows operating systems.

Components Description
HP installer Installs HP Color LaserJet 1600 printing-system software based on the hardware it detects from
the host computer
Uninstaller Removes files and folders that were installed when the HP Color LaserJet 1600 printing-system
software was originally installed on the computer
HP Color LaserJet 1600
Toolbox Provides an interface through your Web browser to manage the HP Color LaserJet 1600 printer.
Use the HP Color LaserJet 1600 Toolbox to perform the following tasks:
● Monitor the status of your HP Color LaserJet 1600 printer.
● Change the print settings for your HP Color LaserJet 1600 printer.
● Find troubleshooting and "How-To" information for performing basic tasks
● Configure and receive Status Alerts when certain events occur or conditions exist on your
HP Color LaserJet 1600 printer.
Driver software Allows the computer and the HP Color LaserJet 1600 printer to communicate. This software
includes the HP Color LaserJet 1600 host-based driver.
Online Help Provides help for using the software for the HP Color LaserJet 1600 printer
The user documentation for this printer is included on the installation CD as both .CHM (online
help) files and Adobe® Acrobat® .PDF files. The software CD uses a version of Adobe Acrobat
Reader that remains on the CD and does not need to be installed on the computer. However, you
need to have a Web browser installed on the computer to view the contents from any .CHM file.
