A vent damper is provided on top vent models
to allow fine tuning of the draft. Too little draft will
cause flames to be too long with black tips and too
much draft will cause flames to be short and blue.
To adjust the damper, burn the unit on high with
both burners for 10 minutes or more. Adjust the vent
damper to a position in the ranges listed below that
produces the most desirable flame pattern. Note: 1
is less draft and 4 is maximum draft.
