5.2 Filter Preparation (cont.)
1. Put on protective gear/gloves. Pull the filter
pan out from filter cabinet. Remove covers.
2. Remove crumb screen. If crumbs are present
in the crumb screen, empty the screen into a
fireproof container. Thoroughly wash the
screen in hot, soapy water, and then rinse and
dry.
3. Unlatch and remove the hold-down ring.
Pull the filter pan from the fryer and remove
covers.
Remove and clean crumb screen.
