The relationship between trail restart and trail copy depends on their status, as
shown in the table below.

Trail restart Trail copy

Trail status

ON ON Range changed while trail is ON: Trails continue on

targets within previous range.

ON OFF Range changed while trail is ON: Trails within the

previous range are erased then trails are restarted.

OFF OFF/ON

Range changed while trail is ON: New trails not

initiated. (Trails from previous range are stored in
memory.)

Range returned to previous range: Trails continues

on targets stored in memory.

Trails turned ON: Trails stored in memory are

erased. (See section 1.30.10.)
(Trails stored in the memory are erased and trails are
then initiated on new range.)

1.30.5 Trail

level

The level (intensity) of the afterglow that extends from radar targets may be
selected as below.

1. Right-click the TRAIL MODE box to display the TRAIL menu.
2. Select 4 TRAIL LEVEL.
3. Select level desired. The higher the number the greater the intensity of the

afterglow.

4. Push the right button to close the menu.

Narrow trails (B, C and W types)

Target trails may be painted with thinner lines if desired. This can be useful when
there are a lot of targets on the screen and it is hard to distinguish one from
another.

1. Right-click the TRAIL MODE box to display the TRAIL menu.
2. Select 3 NARROW TRAIL.
3. Select OFF, 1 or 2 as appropriate. "2" is thinner than "1".
4. Push the right button to close the menu.
