4. This will expose the main controller
board of the printer. The two RAM
SIMM slots are to the right of the
board. There are three slots in this
area of the board, the two slots to the
left are the RAM SIMM slots.
At least one of the SIMM slots should
have a RAM SIMM pre-installed.
Depending on the existing RAM
configuration of the printer, the other
slot may or may not be open.
5. If replacing existing memory with larger
capacity SIMMs, remove the existing
SIMM(s) as shown.
Install the new SIMM(s) by positioning
the SIMM into the slot at approximately
a 45 degree angle with its notched end
at the top of the slot. Gently rotate the
SIMM to the right until it clicks into
place under the metal guide clips.
