Standard cooking will turn the beads yellow in color.
Open flame cooking will cause the beads to blacken.
Neither affects the performance of the beads.

CAUTION

To prevent damage to filter media, do not wash
second stage filters in detergents that contain
hydroxides such as sodium hydroxide or potassium
hydroxide.
