The System tab

Icon

Program

About

Displays device information such as copyright, amount of memory installed, and lets you

change the device name.
Add Ring Tone

Listen to and select ring tone files to be added to the selection box in the Phone.
Backlight

Customizes the backlight and brightness for power saving purposes.
Button Lock

Enables you to lock the buttons on your device (except Power button) when it is off.

Certificates

Displays the names of certificate issuers and expiration dates, and lets you use personal

certificates to positively identify yourself to others.
Clock & Alarms

Lets you change the time, choose time zones, and set alarms.
Device Information

Find information about version, hardware, identity, and call duration.

Memory

Displays Main memory allocation status, Storage card memory, and current running

programs. Running programs can also be stopped from this screen.
Microphone AGC

Adjusts the volume of your voice automatically to create an “even level” when you are

recording.
Permanent Save

Saves contacts to permanent flash memory.

Power

Displays Main and Backup battery levels, and lets you specify automatic power-off and

even change CPU speed.
Regional Settings

Lets you choose the format/display of symbols for numbers, currency, time, date, ac-

cording to region.
Remove Programs

Displays all programs in storage that you have installed, and lets you remove them if you

no longer need them or want to free up some memory.
Screen

You can set the orientation, re-calibrate it, adjust the size of text on the screen, and

enable/disable the Clear Type feature.
