Clock & Alarms

Select

Settings from the Start menu, then tap Clock and Alarms in the System tab.

In the

Time screen, select your Home time zone.

If you visit a particular time zone often, you can select it as your

Visiting time zone so that

you can quickly see the correct date and time.

n

You can use your device as a travel alarm clock by setting a wake-up alarm in the

Alarms

screen. Tap the alarm icon at the right side of the screen to select the type of alarm you

want, and to set notification options (such as vibration, light, or displayed message).

To change the way the date or time is displayed on your Pocket PC Phone, you can do so

using

Regional Settings (select Settings from the Start menu, then tap Regional Settings

in the System tab.

Memory

Select

Settings from the Start menu, then tap Memory in the System tab.

n

The

Main tab displays the amount of memory the system has allocated to file and data

storage versus program storage. This tab also displays the amount of memory in use

versus the available memory. You can drag the indicator on the Slider Bar to easily adjust

this. For other information about making memory available, see Appendix A.

The

Storage Card tab displays how much memory is available on the storage card that is

inserted into your device.

n

The

Running Programs tab displays the list of currently active programs. You can stop a

program by selecting it in the list and then tapping

Stop, or just tap Stop All to stop all the

running programs. You may need to stop a program if it becomes unstable or the program

memory is low.

Power

Select

Settings from the Start menu, then tap Power in the System tab.

The

Main tab displays the amount of battery power remaining for both Main battery and

Backup battery.

n

In the

Advanced tab, you can select options for turning off your device to conserve battery

power. To conserve the most power, select the option that turns off the device after 3

minutes or less.

In the

Processor tab, you can change the clock speed of the CPU processor if desired.

The default setting of

Standard Mode conserves more battery power. Selecting Turbo

Mode will increase processing speed but will use more battery.
