CONFIGURING ADVANCED ZONE SETTINGS (continued)
S-VIDEO OSD 4:3 ON, OFF
Controls the appearance of the on-screen display when the display
device is connected to an S-video output connector. When ON, the
display device shows the on-screen display in a 4:3 aspect ratio*
regardless of the incoming signal. When OFF, the display device
shows the on-screen display in the same aspect ratio as the input
signal.
* Aspect ratio refers to the size of the picture on the display
device screen or to the size of the display device screen. A 4:3
aspect ratio is almost square. A 16:9 aspect ratio, often referred
to as widescreen, is almost twice as wide as it is high.
Note:
The on-screen display appears horizontally stretched across the display
device screen when all of the following conditions are present:
• The S-VIDEO OSD (4:3) parameter is OFF.
• An anamorphic video input signal is present.
• A 16:9 display device (widescreen) is connected to an S-video out-
put connector.
