MEASURING SPEAKER DISTANCES

Selecting the SPEAKER SETUP menu SPEAKER DISTANCES option
opens the SPEAKER DISTANCES menu, which is used to set the dis-
tance between the listening position and the speakers connected to
the audio output connectors. The AV1 features a speaker distance
control that allows distances to be entered for each speaker. This
helps ensure accurate signal arrival time at the listening position,
but is not a substitute for proper speaker placement.

To determine the appropriate setting for each speaker, measure the
distance between the listening position and the front baffle of the
speaker. Then set the corresponding SPEAKER DISTANCES menu
parameter to the closest available setting.
