4-6 Setup Using the OPERATION Menu

The “?” mark will change back to the arrow
marker (

c), and the new setting will be saved.

To end menu operations, set the DISPLAY switch
to ON.

The menu display will disappear from the viewfinder
screen, and the status of items set to ON will be
displayed on the screen.

4-6-6 Setting up the Auto Iris

The AUTO IRIS page of the OPERATION menu is
used to set up items related to the auto iris.

Set the DISPLAY switch to MENU.

Rotate the MENU SEL knob/ENTER button to
display the AUTO IRIS page, and push the MENU
SEL knob/ENTER button.

AUTO IRIS page

The current setting of each item appears to the
right of the item.

WINDOW SEL Selects the auto iris windows

a)

(1 to 6).

OVERRIDE

Sets the override to temporarily change
the reference value for brightness of
the automatic iris level (–99 (one step
to fully closed iris) to 99 (one step to
fully open iris))

a)The shaded parts in the illustrations below indicate the

area where light detection occurs.

4-6-5 Setting up the Viewfinder

The ZEBRA/VF DTL page of the OPERATION menu
is used to set up items related to the viewfinder.

Proceed as follows:

Set the DISPLAY switch to MENU.

Rotate the MENU SEL knob/ENTER button to
display the ZEBRA/VF DTL page, and push the
MENU SEL knob/ENTER button.

ZEBRA/VF DTL page

The current setting of each item appears to the
right of the item.

ZEBRA

Sets zebra marker 1, zebra marker 2, or
both to ON or OFF.

ZEBRA1

Adjusts the 70% zebra marker (50 to
82%).

ZEBRA2

Adjusts the 100% zebra marker (88 to
112%).

VF DTL

Turns the VF detail (sharpness of the
viewfinder picture) adjustment function
ON or OFF, and adjust the level

a)

(–99 to

+99)

a) The adjustment has no effect on recording pictures.

Rotate the MENU SEL knob/ENTER button to
align the arrow marker (

c) with the item to be

changed, and push the MENU SEL knob/ENTER
button.

The arrow marker (

c) will change into a “?” mark.

Rotate the MENU SEL knob/ENTER button to
change the setting to the desired value, and push
the MENU SEL knob/ENTER button.
