Operation

Note: See pages 5-7 for Table Saw Specific Safety Rules.

Table Saw Power Switch

NOTE: This table saw has a lockable feature that helps prevent
accidental starting.

1. Lift the lockout cover and move the table saw / accessory power

switch to the table saw position indicated by the single dash “-” .

2. To turn saw on, lift main switch lever 1 by pinching side walls

and pulling up. This action starts the saw (Fig. 49)

3. To turn off power, push main switch lever 1 down to it’s original

position (Fig. 50).

4. Switch can accommodate a padlock 0 with a long, 3/16" or 1/4"

diameter shackle (not provided with table saw), to prevent
unauthorized use (Fig. 51).

Using the Miter Gauge with “T” Bar

The miter gauge is equipped with a “T” shaped bar EE which
engages under retaining tabs DD in the table’s miter gauge slots
CC (Fig. 52).

The tabs keep the miter gauge in the slot and will support it when
pulled beyond the front of table as shown in figure 52. When using
the miter gauge for 90° cross-cuts, the maximum cut capacity is
11-1/2 inches for up to 2 x 12 lumber (actual width= 11-1/4 inches).

The bar must be engaged under slot tabs before attempting any
cutting operation using the miter gauge.

Using The Miter Gauge

CROSSCUTTING, MITER CUTTING, BEVEL CUTTING, COM-
POUND MITER CUTTING and when RABBETING across the end
of a narrow workpiece, the MITER GAUGE is used.

For your own safety, always observe the
following safety precautions in addition to

the safety instructions on Pages 4-10.

Never make these cuts freehand (without using the miter gauge or
other auxiliary devices) because the blade could bind in the cut and
cause a KICKBACK or cause your fingers or hand to slip into the
blade.

Always tighten the miter gauge handle securely when in use.
