Removing the oil filter

Danger of scalding

ಗEngine oil and gear oil get very hot when the motocycle is driven.

Wear suitable protective clothing and gloves. If you scald yourself, hold the affected area under cold water immediately.

Environmental hazard

ಗProblem materials cause environmental damage.

Dispose of oil, grease, filters, fuel, cleaning substances, brake fluid, batteries, etc. according to regulations.

Place a suitable container under the engine.

Remove screws

. Remove oil filter cover with O-ring.

Pull the oil filter insert

out of the oil filter casing.

Circlip pliers reverse (51012011000)

Completely drain the engine oil.

Thoroughly clean parts and sealing area.

Check parts for damage and wear. Replace damaged or worn parts.

Lay the motorcycle on its side and fill the oil filter housing to about

൜ full with en-

gine oil.

Fill the oil filter with engine oil and place it in the oil filter container.

Oil the O-ring of the oil filter cover and assemble it with the oil filter cover

Mount and tighten screws.

Stand the motorcycle up.

Too little engine oil or poor-quality engine oil results in premature wear to the engine.

ಗExhaust gases are poisonous and can result in uncon-

sciousness and/or death.

When running the engine, always make sure there is sufficient ventila-
tion, and do not start or run the engine in a closed space.

Start the engine and check that it is oil-tight.
