Procedure 4: Attaching cables to the High-speed Data Module

Note: The connections made in this procedure will depend on the

specific site requirements. If you are not sure of the exact
connections required for the Passport 4400 unit, consult your
system administrator.

As required, use a DB50 cable to connect each MD50 port to your local

equipment.

For further information about cables and pin assignments, see Appendix A, “Cable
Diagram Pin Assignments.”

Legacy Data Module (LDM) and Legacy Data Expansion Module (LEM)

The Legacy Data Module (LDM) provides interface ports to support legacy data
protocols in Passport 4400. Additional interface ports are supported through the
use of the Legacy Data Expansion Module (LEM).
