Removing an Interface Module

Procedure 13: Removing an interface module

1.

Facing the rear of the voice/fax module, remove the screw on the left side of

the connector cover with the Phillips screwdriver (refer to Figure 8-4).

2.

Unhinge the right tab from the slot on the right side of the interface module,

then remove the connector cover. Save the screw.

3.

Disconnect any modular cables from the RJ11 connectors or unplug the
terminal block from the interface.

4.

Unscrew the two spring-loaded captive screws with the medium-sized,
flathead screwdriver.

5.

Grasp the interface module firmly and slide it slowly toward you until it is
free of the voice/fax module (Figure 8-5).

Caution:

The interface modules cannot be inserted into or removed from
the unit while the Passport 4400 is operating. This could cause
damage to the Passport 4400 or interruption of network service
or both.
