Printer & PC GUI Guide

If the number of imposed pages, number of pages in row, binding direction, saddle stitch,
layout, cutting line or fold line is changed, the logical pages are resized and relocated in an area
whose width and height are reduced by 140 dots (300 dpi) to place the cutting lines within the
printable area.

Fold Line: Specify whether or not to print the fold lines.
The fold lines are positioned around the logical page, and in the centers of the binding
margin, longitudinal gutter and lateral gutter. The number of lines to be printed, therefore,
vary with the number of imposed pages.

If the number of imposed pages, number of pages in row, binding direction, saddle stitch,
layout, cutting line or fold line is changed, the logical pages are equally resized and relocated in
an area whose width and height are reduced by 140 dots (300 dpi) to place the fold lines within
the printable area.

Form Specification: Specify the pre-printed form for printing on the physical page. The
default is none. A maximum of two patterns can be set in one physical page.

In case of multi-sheet, the settings succeeding those of the preceding page can be made on
every sheet other than first one. In case of duplex print, the settings succeeding those of the
preceding page can be made on the reverse page.

In offset, the pre-printed form position can be set. In both the X and Y directions, negative
setting is not allowed. Plan the layout for overlapping with the physical page printable area by 1
inch or more in both the X and Y directions. The allowable image for the pre-printed form is a
TIFF file, which can be imported by system resource management.

Mark Specification: Specify the marks to be printed on the physical page. Up to four marks
may be specified on the starting sheet only. The default is None. The print specification is
fixed as Page in this version. In case of multi-sheet, the mark can be set only on the first
page.
In offset, the mark positions can be set.

In both the X and Y directions, negative setting is not allowed.

Plan the layout for overlapping with the physical page printable area by 16 dots or more at 300
dpi in both the X and Y directions.
