Network (TCP/IP)
Before you Start
NOTE Your Document Centre has DHCP enabled by default. If you have
configured a DHCP server with TCP/IP information, you can
connect your Document Centre to your network and it will retrieve
its TCP/IP information from the DHCP server when it is turned on.
To enable 100BaseT or a Token Ring interface, refer to Chapter 2
How to Connect to Ethernet or Token Ring Networks to
configure the Speed and Source Routing settings for your
environment.
If you are using DHCP, perform Steps 1 through 8b contained
within the Dynamic Addressing portion of the Dynamic/Status IP
Address Assignment & WINS section but DO NOT change any
values. Then read the note before step 9 and determine if you wish
to change the lpr port number. After choosing, complete the
remainder of the procedure.
