Variations on these fees include:

For communities with populations between 10,000 and 30,000:

o

Fee range between $125and $650 depending upon the type of development. SUR

completed by city staff ($350) and private contractor ($600).

For communities with populations between 30,001 and 50,000:

o

$850 base fee and $65 per acre.

For communities with populations between 110,001 and 130,000:

o

$580 for a development permit; plus a special use permit fee of $115.

Additional fees associated with information requested by a reviewing body and resubmission of
a SDP:


The majority of responding communities in Colorado either do not apply a cost; however, two
respondents from cities with 10,000 to 30,000 citizens indicate that fees

“vary” or are “based on actual

expense.

to site plan review. The summary provided below illustrates these variations.

For communities with populations between 10,000 and 30,000:

o

Base fee of $800 plus $25 per acre;

o

Value-based fees

no dollar values cited;

o

Range of fees ($50 - $300) based on acreage;

o

$500 for proposals involving less than 5 acres and $750 for projects including 5 to 15

acres;

o

For residential projects - $70 per lot; commercial projects $225 per acre with a minimum

fee of $2,100.
